walking with two children in hand
healthy and beautiful like two fervent prayers answered
i saw two boys playing
not knowing what they were saying
old and young at the same time
Lost in an endless play time
And I walked on and held mine
Close to my side
ever grateful
ever reverent
ever conscious
ever blessed.

Kamau Inspired Poetry - nothing like his but written after listening to his
(I often write like this but don't often share.)
I want to
Go in a dark, dank place
with guilty eyes watching me
and shake up my body to sexual songs
on the phallus, firm
of the one
I
love.
And if I can't dance to slackness
And if I can't dance 'til slackness
If crude men won't whisper nonsense
And shout profanity
Through the big
Black
Speak-ers
Then
I WILL GO MAD
I WILL
SWEAT
in my bed
Being Pumped
Pumped
by man
Not beat
BOOM
Boom
boom
Oh
Biology...
